Death by Force

Cheylo Chong Tim, a 31-year-old from Waianae, Hawaii, was shot and killed on August 6, 2024, at the Waianae Small Boat Harbor parking lot. The suspect, 25-year-old Rastan Brown-Castro, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

According to reports, the shooting occurred after a verbal argument between the two men. Brown-Castro allegedly shot Chong Tim multiple times before fleeing the scene. He was later apprehended by police near Nanai Beach Park.
