Kith Silva-Lacro, a 28-year-old resident of Kalāheo, Hawaii, was fatally shot on September 7, 2023, on Kahili Mountain Road in Kilauea. The prime suspect, Chris Santos, evaded authorities for several days, prompting a joint operation by the Kauai Police Department, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the FBI.
