In the late evening hours of a cold Monday, on February 26, 2007, a life was violently cut short in the nation's capital. James Young, a man known to some as 'Pete,' was in the vicinity of 1710 A Street in Southeast Washington, D.C., when an unknown assailant or assailants attacked him. The quiet of the night was shattered by an act of violence that would leave Young with fatal stab wounds.
