In the late hours of a Sunday in March of 1978, the life of a young, White male named Thomas Lee Campbell was tragically cut short. At 28 years old, Campbell was serving as a Technical Sergeant with the United States Air Force Security Forces. On the evening of March 26th, he was dispatched to a residence in Maxwell Heights, a community of off-base military housing situated near Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama, following a report of an intruder.
