On a summer evening in Montgomery, Alabama, the life of 21-year-old Jacquez Hall was cut short by gunfire. The shooting, which occurred on August 15, 2019, near the campus of Alabama State University, also claimed the life of 24-year-old Justin Martin and left three other individuals wounded. Investigators at the time believed the incident transpired during a drug deal.
