On August 15, 2019, a shooting occurred near Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama, resulting in the deaths of 21-year-old Jacquez Hall and 24-year-old Justin Martin. The incident took place around 7:15 p.m. in the 800 block of North University Drive.
