On a summer morning in Pelham, Alabama, the community was shattered by a tragic and senseless act of violence that claimed the life of Christopher Scott Yancy and two others. On August 5, 1999, Yancy, a 28-year-old male, was fatally shot at his workplace, Ferguson Enterprises. The gunman, Alan Eugene Miller, a driver for the same company, also killed another co-worker, Lee Holdbrooks, at the scene before driving to his former employer, Post Airgas, and killing Terry Jarvis.
