On March 22, 2007, 19-year-old Bryant Mason was fatally shot on the front porch of a residence located at 7418 1st Avenue South in Birmingham's Eastlake neighborhood. Following the shooting, Mason was transported to UAB Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
