On July 2, 2014, in the town of Athens, Alabama, 73-year-old May Chao-Mei Hu was found deceased in the home she shared with her son. The discovery was made after a UPS delivery person saw a note on the front door and alerted the authorities. Inside, police found the bodies of both May Chao-Mei Hu and her 39-year-old son, Robin Shen Hu.
