Tara Lynn Foley, a 28-year-old female, died on December 21, 2020, in Athens, Alabama. Her death was the result of a shooting that also involved her father, Michael Preston Foley, aged 64.

The incident was determined to be a murder-suicide. Authorities reported that Michael Foley fatally shot his daughter, Tara, before taking his own life.
