The incident unfolded around 3:00 AM on Cloverbrook Drive, where Madison County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered House with a grievous neck wound, not from a gun, but from a crossbow bolt fired at close range.
The conflict had its origins in a family argument that began
inside a residence before escalating and moving outdoors, sprawling into the yards of the neighborhood. It was in the midst of this heated confrontation that Anqualo House was fatally struck by the crossbow bolt. The tragic event underscored the volatile nature of domestic conflicts and the devastating consequences that can arise from them.
In the immediate aftermath of the incident, law enforcement arrested Troy Wright, a 25-year-old from Clarksville, Tennessee. He was taken into custody at the scene and subsequently charged with murder, with his bond set at $75,000. As the case proceeded through the legal system, Wright's defense team initially pursued a 'Stand Your Ground' hearing, asserting that his actions were taken in self-defense.
