On March 31, 2015, 32-year-old Cory Brian Moncrief was found deceased in his East Brewton, Alabama, residence on U.S. Highway 29. Moncrief, a dedicated employee of T.R. Miller Mill Co., was discovered by colleagues after failing to report to work. Authorities determined he had been fatally shot once in the back of the head while sleeping on his sofa.
