On October 27, 2014, 68-year-old Paul Phillips, pastor of the Book of Acts Holiness Church in the Sellersville Community near Brewton, Alabama, was fatally shot outside his church. The incident occurred following a heated argument between Phillips and his son-in-law, Brett Richard Yeiter.
