On the evening of June 3, 2015, 44-year-old African American male Dr. Luke Nelson Taylor III was tragically shot and killed in Montgomery, Alabama. Responding to a call around 9:25 p.m., police and emergency services found Dr. Taylor lying in the roadway on Ivy Lane near Southern Boulevard. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Initial investigations suggested that the shooting stemmed from an argument.
