On June 21, 2015, in Eufaula, Alabama, Michael Marshall, aged 50, and his brother Marvin Marshall drove to the residence of Reginald Dejuan Coley. A confrontation ensued between Coley and Marvin Marshall, during which Michael Marshall was fatally shot, and Marvin Marshall sustained injuries. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers found no evidence supporting Coley's claim of self-defense.
