On June 26, 2024, 20-year-old William Antwone Tharp Jr. was fatally shot in Eufaula, Alabama. The incident occurred near the 500 block of Gammage Road following a confrontation that escalated into gunfire. Tharp Jr. sustained four gunshot wounds and was transported by private vehicle to Medical Center Barbour, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
