On June 28, 2015, in McCalla, Alabama, 12-year-old Peyton Hutcheson was found fatally shot in his home alongside his mother, Doris Hutcheson, 49, and sister, Kimberly Hutcheson, 14. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office discovered their bodies after concerned relatives requested a welfare check, having not heard from the family since the previous Friday.
