On November 26, 2017, 21-year-old Dortez Travon Jamal Major, known as "T-Juvie," was fatally shot in Prichard, Alabama. The incident occurred near the intersection of Thomas and Magee Streets, where Major was traveling in a vehicle with his four-year-old son, Dortez Major Jr., his pregnant girlfriend, Breantay Coleman, and her infant child. An assailant fired into the car, resulting in Major's death and injuries to both his son and girlfriend. The infant was unharmed.
