On August 3, 2015, 25-year-old Markeita Holiness of Bessemer, Alabama, was tragically shot to death. Her passing was noted in local obituaries, which provided details about her funeral services. The service was held on August 7, 2015, at New Bethlehem Baptist Church in Bessemer, followed by her interment at the Alabama National Cemetery.
