On November 13, 2015, 18-year-old Perez Dewayne Burress was fatally shot near the intersection of Ward Avenue and Dallas Street in Huntsville, Alabama. Responding to reports of gunfire around 5:30 p.m., police officers found Burress unresponsive at the scene. He was transported to Huntsville Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The investigation led to the arrest of 18-year-old Michael Joray Norton from Hazel Green, who was charged with Burress's murder. Author
