On January 23, 2016, in Higdon, Alabama, a domestic dispute escalated into a fatal shooting. Around 11 p.m., the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office received a call reporting a shooting near Shiloh Community Church on County Road 155. Upon arrival, deputies found 40-year-old Cody Lee Wade in possession of a firearm.
