Christian Lamar Taylor was an 18-year-old African-American male whose life was cut short by violence in Washington, D.C., during the summer of 2008.
On the evening of Sunday, July 27, 2008, a report of a shooting sent police to the city's Northwest quadrant. At approximately 9:30 p.m., officers from the Third District responded to the 1200 block of 7th Street, NW. When they arrived, they discovered Christian suffering from gunshot wounds.
The investigation into the shooting was handled by members of the Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes Branch.
Authorities began to piece together the events that led to Christian's death, but no public announcements have been made regarding any potential suspects or arrests in the case.
More than a decade later, Christian Taylor's homicide remains unsolved. The case is still under investigation, and authorities ask for the public's assistance.
