On April 9, 2016, 20-year-old Lakeyah Ellington Hampton of Montgomery, Alabama, was fatally shot following a verbal altercation. The incident occurred around 9:50 p.m. in the 1200 block of Lynwood Drive, where responding officers and medics found Hampton deceased at the scene.

The subsequent investigation led detectives to identify 21-year-old Alisha Womack, also of Montgomery, as the suspect. Womack turned herself in to authorities early the next morning and was charged with one count ...Read More
