On the evening of April 11, 2016, in Enterprise, Alabama, a burst of violence cut short the life of 20-year-old Thurston Yavari Allen, a Black male from the nearby town of Daleville. The incident unfolded at the Boulevard Apartments, where officers, responding to a 911 call, discovered Allen with two gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries hours later.
