On August 2, 2022, 16-year-old Hayden Townsend was fatally shot in the Tartan Pines neighborhood of Enterprise, Alabama. Emergency responders arrived at a residence in the 600 block of Tartan Pines and found Townsend with a gunshot wound to the head; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
