In the summer of 2016, Kimberly Starr Mulder, a 53-year-old White female from Wetumpka, Alabama, vanished. On June 11, she was reportedly picked up from the residence she shared with her ex-husband, supposedly for a trip to Birmingham, but she was never heard from again. Her daughter, deeply concerned by the sudden silence, reached out for help, but initial investigations hit dead ends.
For years, her disappearance remained a troubling mystery, leaving her family and friends grasping for answers.
The case took a significant turn in early 2020 when skeletal remains were discovered in the vast expanse of the Conecuh National Forest. It would take a full year for forensic investigators to positively identify the remains as those of Kimberly Starr Mulder. An autopsy later revealed the grim truth that she had been shot.
