On July 8, 2016, 35-year-old Zachary Scott Tribble of Toney, Alabama, was fatally shot at the Lakeside Landing Campground in Pell City. The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m., stemming from a disagreement between Tribble and 63-year-old Jackie Owen Jordan of Odenville. Upon arrival, Pell City police found Tribble suffering from gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene. Jordan was taken into custody and charged with murder.
