Kendrick Lamar Fuqua, a 41-year-old man from Decatur, Alabama, was fatally shot on October 27, 2016, in an incident that shocked the local community. Fuqua was found suffering from gunshot wounds after police responded to reports of a shooting at a residence in the 700 block of 3rd Avenue Southwest. Upon arrival, officers discovered Fuqua in critical condition and he was transported to a nearby hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
