On December 15, 2016, at approximately 8:03 p.m., Mobile Police officers responded to a disorderly complaint at Pathway Apartments, located at 2603 South Florida Street in Mobile, Alabama. While en route, they received an update indicating that a shooting had occurred. Upon arrival, officers discovered 33-year-old DeCarlos Johnson in the doorway of an apartment, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Mobile Fire-Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
