On March 19, 2017, 15-year-old James Tyrese "Tee" LaShawn Townsend was fatally shot inside a Taco Bell restaurant on North Memorial Parkway in Huntsville, Alabama. While waiting in line, Townsend was approached by 19-year-old Donovan Little, who drew a firearm and shot him before fleeing the scene. Townsend was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries on March 23, 2017.
