On July 3, 2017, 45-year-old Anthony Smith was fatally shot during a robbery at Hook-Up Barber and Style in Prattville, Alabama. The incident occurred after business hours when Smith, along with 58-year-old Eddie Dean Scott and 50-year-old Al Benson, were inside the barbershop. Two armed individuals, including 35-year-old Marty Morgan, entered the establishment, leading to a confrontation that resulted in the deaths of Smith, Scott, and Benson.
