On July 3, 2017, a tragic event unfolded at the Hook-Up Barber and Style shop in Prattville, Alabama. During what appeared to be an after-hours robbery attempt, three men were fatally shot: 50-year-old Al Benson of Elmore County, 58-year-old Eddie Dean Scott, and 45-year-old Anthony Smith, both of Autauga County. A fourth individual was wounded but survived the incident.
