On May 22, 2016, 56-year-old John Michael Taylor of Prattville, Alabama, was fatally shot during a robbery. While walking home from a convenience store where he had withdrawn cash from an ATM, Taylor was followed by assailants. A passing motorist discovered him mortally wounded on a busy street.
