In the autumn of 2017, the life of 28-year-old Derrick Cruce was tragically cut short in a Gadsden, Alabama hotel. On the evening of Tuesday, October 10, 2017, an act of gun violence ended the young man's life. The incident prompted an investigation by local law enforcement, who soon identified a person of interest in the fatal shooting.
