In the autumn of 2017, a hunting trip in Adger, Alabama, turned into a scene of profound tragedy with the death of 15-year-old Alyssa Scott. A sophomore at Oak Grove High School, the young female was participating in a youth hunt with an adult family friend on a Monday evening. The pair had been in a tree stand, and as they prepared to leave, the accident occurred.
