On November 13, 2017, 15-year-old Alyssa Scott from Adger, Alabama, tragically lost her life in a hunting accident. While participating in a youth hunt with an adult family friend, Alyssa descended from a tree stand as they prepared to leave. During this process, the friend's rifle accidentally discharged, striking Alyssa. She was promptly transported to a hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
