Ricky Dease, a 47-year-old man from Ozark, Alabama, was found dead on December 3, 2017, in what authorities determined to be a homicide. The incident occurred in the early morning hours, and the victim was discovered in a home located on North Union Avenue in Ozark. Dease had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and first responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
