In the small town of Hayneville, Alabama, the life of Willie Shanks, a 60-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short on the evening of January 6, 2018. Known affectionately by many as 'Shank,' he was a respected community entrepreneur who had attended Central High School in Hayneville and was remembered for his positive and outgoing personality.
