On July 28, 2018, in Athens, Alabama, a tragic incident occurred involving 10-year-old Chevy Jace Redus Christopher. Chevy was spending the night with his father, William "Billy" Christopher, and his grandmother, 84-year-old Betty Sue Christopher, at Betty Sue's residence. The following morning, Chevy's mother, unable to reach the family by phone, contacted a relative who had a key to the house. Upon entering, they discovered the bodies of Chevy, Betty Sue, and Billy.
