In the summer of 2018, a young man's life was cut tragically short on a rural road in Alabama. Lawrence McDaniel, a 20-year-old male, was discovered with a gunshot wound to his head on the side of County Road 3812, situated between the small towns of Arley and Addison. Dakari Aenisa Maddox, who was 18 years old at the time, was charged with manslaughter, second-degree assault, tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree possession of marijuana, and obstructing government operations. A second suspect, 42-year-old Eamon Bozell Maddox, was also taken into custody. The charges filed against him included possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm without a license, second-degree possession of marijuana, obstructing government operations, and tampering with physical evidence.
