Marcus Cortez Floyd, a 43-year-old man from Valley, Alabama, was fatally shot on March 8, 2021, in a violent incident that has left the local community in shock. The shooting occurred at a residence in the area, and law enforcement responded to a call reporting gunfire. When officers arrived, they found Floyd with gunshot wounds and immediately began administering aid until paramedics arrived. Floyd was transported to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
