In the small city of Valley, Alabama, a sense of shock and sorrow befell the community on March 8, 2021, following a violent shooting incident at a local residence. Marcus Cortez Floyd, a 43-year-old Black male, was found by responding law enforcement officers with gunshot wounds. Paramedics arrived and provided aid before transporting him to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he succumbed to them shortly after arrival.
