On the evening of November 20, 2020, at approximately 11:30 PM, officers from the Valley Police Department responded to a residence in the 200 block of Glass Road in Valley, Alabama, following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered 48-year-old Randal "Randy" Louis Breland suffering from a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to the EAMC-Lanier Emergency Room, where he succumbed to his injuries.
