On November 25, 2018, a tragic shooting occurred in Demopolis, Alabama, resulting in the deaths of 27-year-old Laderrus Gilbert and 24-year-old Jasmine Washington. The incident took place around 9:23 a.m. near the intersection of Floyd and Field Streets. Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle that had collided with several parked cars; inside, they found Gilbert and Washington, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
