On a warm summer evening in Washington, D.C., tragedy struck, leaving a family to mourn and a community searching for answers. In the late hours of Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at around 9:45 p.m., a man named Craig Anthony Thompson was violently killed. He was in the 6200 block of Banks Place in Northeast Washington when he was fatally shot.
