Keith Miles, a 38-year-old man from Phenix City, Alabama, was shot and killed on January 31, 2019, in what authorities later determined to be a homicide. Miles was found in the early hours of the morning in the parking lot of a convenience store located on U.S. Highway 280. Police responded to a report of a shooting and discovered Miles suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite attempts by emergency personnel to revive him, Miles was pronounced dead at the scene.
