On February 9, 2019, 20-year-old Christopher Edwards was fatally shot inside the Laced shoe store on Springhill Avenue in Mobile, Alabama. The incident was captured on surveillance video, showing Edwards being shot twice by 19-year-old Terrence Sims Jr. Edwards succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
