In the early morning hours of June 7, 2021, a grim discovery was made on a Mobile, Alabama street. The bodies of 20-year-old Doreon Howard, a Black male, and 21-year-old Joshua Womble were found lying in the roadway at the intersection of Betbeze and Mobile Streets. Both men had sustained apparent gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.
