On June 7, 2021, at approximately 6 a.m., Mobile Police responded to a report of two men found in the roadway near the intersection of Betbeze Street and Mobile Street in Mobile, Alabama. Upon arrival, officers discovered 20-year-old Doreon Howard and 21-year-old Joshua Womble lying in the street with apparent gunshot wounds; both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
