In a quiet home on Quarry Lane in Athens, Alabama, a domestic dispute between a father and son escalated to a fatal conclusion on a Sunday evening in August of 2019. The life of Alfred Dewayne Adams, a 45-year-old male, was cut short after he was shot by his own father.

The Limestone County Sheriff's Office responded to a call from 70-year-old James 'Buddy' Adams, who informed them that he had shot his son. The incident occurred within the residence where both men lived with James's wife, ...
