On September 1, 2019, six-year-old Christa Screws tragically lost her life in Geneva, Alabama. The incident occurred inside her family's East Latimer home, where she sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Geneva Police Chief Tony Clemmons indicated that the shooting appeared to be accidental. Christa was promptly transported to Wiregrass Medical Center in Geneva, where she was pronounced dead.
