On September 28, 2019, 37-year-old Brandy Michelle Hammons was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Lake Shopping Center on Gunter Avenue in Guntersville, Alabama. Guntersville Police responded to reports of gunfire around 7 a.m. and discovered Hammons at the scene; she succumbed to her injuries shortly thereafter.

Authorities arrested 31-year-old Salaam Farid Gregory in connection with the shooting. He was held without bond pending formal charges by the District Attorney's Office. ...Read More
