On Sunday, August 28, 2011, Dominic Dixon, age 21, was tragically shot and killed in the 200 block of N Street NW, Washington, D.C. The shooting occurred at approximately 7:38 p.m., prompting a swift response from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Dixon succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
