On a late summer evening in Washington, D.C., the life of 21-year-old Dominic Dixon was cut short. On Sunday, August 28, 2011, at approximately 7:38 p.m., gunfire erupted in the 2 a.m. block of N Street, Northwest, not far from Dunbar High School.
