On December 3, 2020, 20-year-old Makiel Daveon Norwood was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. Authorities responded to a report of gunfire at approximately 9:30 p.m. in the western part of the city. Upon arrival, they discovered Norwood suffering from gunshot wounds and quickly transported him to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
